Niobium is a refractory metal with steel gray luster, 2468℃ for melting point ,and 8.58g/cm3 for density. Niobium has a good ductility at low-temperature , so it can be easily cold processed into rods, sheets,
wire,and other forms. Niobium can withstand high temperature, it still have sufficient strength,ductility and
thermal conductivity at the temperature is above 1000℃. Niobium posses good superconductivity under
low temperature, it's the most important superconducting material until now,it's resistance is close to zero
at the temperature for -260 ℃.
Niobium rod/bar is processed from ingot to final diameter under low temperature. Forging, swaging, and drawing are used singularly or in combination to reach the desired size.
